City Services - Saint Joseph City Offices

Provides city departments and services including:

• Administration Department: Consists of staff who perform the central administrative, finance, and communications functions of the City.

• Building Department: Contracts with Inspectron Inc. for building inspection services. If you have questions on building codes or receiving a building permit, call the inspector.

• Community Development: Is responsible for the review and management of development and redevelopment in the City. The department coordinates the preparation of a comprehensive plan which lays out the City's long-range guide to how property should be developed. The Community Development Department is comprised twp divisions of planning and economic development.

• Election information

• Finance Department: Plans, directs, and coordinates the fiscal management for the City. Responsibilities include overseeing all financial activities, accounts receivables, accounts payables, investments, payroll, budgets, and utility billings.

• Mayor and city council: Member contact information

• Park board

• Public Works: Is responsible for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of all city roads, water and sewer systems, storm sewers, and the maintenance of city-owned equipment.

• Utilities: Water, sewer, refuse, stormwater, and street light utilities.
