Hope House - 180 Degrees

An emergency shelter program in Chanhassen which shelters up to six youth on any given night. The average stay for youth is 18 days; however, residents may stay up to 90 days. Provides residents' basic needs which include three meals a day, clothing, and any hygiene products they may need. A partnership with LIVIO Health Services makes health and wellness exams and urgent care needs available on-site as issues may arise. While living in the community, residents and their peers participate in daily chores, physical activities, cooking, as well as support groups centered around topics such as life skills, communication, chemical health, and culture. Each resident works towards educational and/or career goals and participates in continuous case management. While the focus of the program is family reconciliation and reunification, staff also assists residents who are not able to return to family with connections to other resources and housing options in the community. Following their exit from the program, former residents may continue to stay connected and supported through after care-case management services.
