- Download and complete application packet (on website) and provide required documentation - Submit completed application packet and required documentation by email at [email protected] or mail to or drop off at the Brooklyn Park site or one of the CAP-HC locations: Locations and hours can be found at caphennepin.org/locations. - Applications processed in the order they are received; incomplete applications or documentation is an automatic denial - Due to the extreme high demand for rental assistance, it will take months before applications are processed. Once the application reaches the top of the list and is ready to be processed, staff will communicate via email or postal service. CAP-HC cannot provide application status updates during the interim. Description
Limited funding available to provide a one-time payment for eligible households for either emergency rental assistance to help households get caught up on late rent or security deposit and/or first month rent assistance. Assistance can be accessed once every 24 months. Emergency rental assistance may only be utilized once in a 24-month period. Cannot assist households that receive subsidies, such as through Minneapolis Public Housing Authority, Section 8, among others. Due to the high volume of emergency rental assistance applications received, application processing may take 60 days or more.
