A supplemental food distribution program that provides pre-packed boxes of food. Food items will vary but can include fresh produce, canned goods, and other pantry staples. This distribution of food items is not intended to be a full-service, it is intended to be a supplemental food support option in addition to other services.
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Applications: Provides assistance with applications for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) a county-run, state-supervised Federal program that helps Minnesotans with low incomes get the food they need for sound nutrition and well-balanced meals. The program issues electronic food support benefits that can help stretch your household food budget. - Information and Referral: Offers information on resources of local food shelves - Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) Applications: The program is designed to provide healthy and nutritious food products each month at no cost to eligible individuals over the age of 60. Helps eligible individuals apply for the program. - Second Harvest Heartland: Provides a free food distribution program to those in need - Prairie Five Meals Program: Offers congregate dining, home delivered, and frozen meals serving 34 communities in the area. Frozen meals are available for weekend, holiday, emergency and rural delivery. The program promotes health and independent living in the senior population through improved nutrition and reduction of social isolation.

The Grocery Give Away is hosted once a month in partnership with Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. Items may include frozen foods, pantry items, hygiene products, etc. Bring your own bag. Must acknowledge that food taken from the give away cannot be sold to others.
The Campus Food Pantry is located in LL567 and is available to all enrolled students as well as staff and faculty. Shoppers are allowed to visit the pantry once per week. Items available include shelf-stable items, meat, eggs, produce, household and hygiene items, period products and sexual health items.
Provides groceries to people in the surrounding community. Grocery items may include bread, eggs, fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat.
- Emergency Food Shelf: Can be accessed once every three months by individuals residing in Dakota County. Individuals receive approximately one weeks worth of food for their family including frozen meat and shelf staple items. Food distribution is based on what is available. - Weekly Food Distributions: Typically includes fresh produce, meat, bread, and bakery items. Quantity is dependent on donations coming in, but typically each person receives a box of food items.

- Volunteer-run organization that distributes emergency food - Emergency visits and delivery are available upon request between distribution dates - More than 90% of donations used to purchase food. The number one goal of Passing the Bread is to offer nutritious foods, including dairy, eggs, meat, fruit, and vegetables. - An additional goal is to offer nutritious food that is: - Nonperishable - Low sodium - Low in carbohydrates

Food distribution. Delivers to Elders are made to Vermilion and Nett Lake on a monthly basis. Program eligibility is based on income guidelines and deductions.
Provides a weekly food distribution/giveaway at the Mineapolis location, and two community sites. Fresh produce, including dairy, fruits, and vegetables available. Food is provided in a box or bag. Community sites: - Bloomington: Nativity of Mary Church, 9900 Lyndale Avenue South, Bloomington, 55420, second Saturday of every month, 9 am - 10 am
Offers free fresh produce distributions from June - October. Individuals should bring their own bags and/or carts. Each event is set up like a free, open-air farmer's market and provides an opportunity to bring healthy food into the community.
Free food distribution; guest drive through the volunteer will load vehicle with groceries. The typical food available includes fruits, vegetables, breads, meats, snacks, and desserts.
