Food Shelf Support Services - Food Group, The
- Provides food and support services to partner food shelves and other hunger relief organizations
- Offers a Bulk Purchase program, nutrition education and promotion, and educational opportunities regarding food shelf best practices
The Food Group works to:
- Act as a forum for sharing ideas and information for partner agencies
- Provide representation on various committees and task forces concerning emergency food needs and related concerns
- Set up standards and guidelines for partner agencies and related reporting systems
- Transport free and purchased food to partner agencies
- Provides food and support services to partner food shelves and other hunger relief organizations
