Provides plots, spring tilling, and various forms of gardening education and assistance, with 20 community gardens located throughout the city; educational 'vegetable of the year' program provides recipes and information. Offers: - Apple press rental - Garden tool library - Gardening book library - Plant and seed sales - Seed library (may be able to take seed donations) - Teaching kits - Workshops Volunteering opportunities available.

A polypropylene garden box that makes gardening possible in condos, apartments, housing projects or in contaminated soil. Available in 3 feet by 3 feet, 11.5 inches deep. Boxes include soil, fertilizer, and a selection of vegetable plants suited for small space gardens. This growing season, the horticultural society is working with nonprofits to connect boxes to low income families.
