Elder services include the following:- Monthly newsletters to keep communication available on planned activities (i.e. concerts, pow-wows, etc.) and other information- Nutritious meals served Monday - Friday at Nett Lake and Vermilion Community Centers with home-delivered meals available to elders who are unable to go to the sites- Transportation for shopping monthly?- Wisdom Steps Program: Preventative health program. Encourages elders to actively participate in programs that promote health screenings, health education, healthy living activities and evidence-based health programs. Elders who become members of the program and complete a minimum of 46,000 steps per year, and complete health screenings and exams become eligible to attend the annual Wisdom Steps Conference Free of charge. Participants earn incentives and recognition at the conference for their work towards becoming healthy and the number of steps that they walk during the year through a Tier system.

Midday meal served to seniors 60 and older, and to disabled or homebound individuals.Home-Delivered:- Call by noon the day before meal is needed- Call by noon on Tuesday for weekend frozen meals on wheels (delivered on Thursday)

Public Programming: Workshops, Meals On Wheels delivery, Coffee Connection (Monday - Thursday 9:30 am - 12 pm), weekly activities (education hour, arts and crafts, games, and more), Bone Builders (Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 am - 10:30 am), Finland Community Senior Meal (2nd Wednesday 11:30 am - 1 pm), non-medical nail care and blood pressure clinics (3rd Thursday 9 am - 3 pm), monthly foot care clinics (call for dates).Resources: Technology support (Tech Tuesdays - volunteer-led assistance Tuesdays, 11 am - 2 pm) and referrals, free tax preparation (VITA), Medicare workshops (during open enrollment), legal kiosk, medical equipment loan closet, and Per Mar medical alert system setup.Volunteer Opportunities: Casual volunteer, Driver, friendly visitor/caller, fundraising volunteer, garden helper, governance volunteer, pet therapy volunteer, program assistant or leader, tax helper, and tech support volunteer.

Provides a hot, nutritious noon meal to older adults, adults with disabilities, or adults who are terminally ill and with limited mobility who are unable to prepare their own meals. Meals are provided by local caterers and delivered by volunteers. Connects and provides older adults and their caregivers with services in their community to allow them to live long, healthy, and independent lives in their own homes. Services include:- Food Assistance: Congregate dining locations offering low-cost meals, low-cost frozen meals, home-delivered meals, NAPS, and SNAP- Healthy Living: Blood pressure checks, fall prevention screenings, telehealth conferences, Tai Chi and yoga sessions, and stretching/balance education- Information Services: Offers memory loss education and Dementia Friends, Medicare counseling and assistance, fraud/scam identification and prevention, assistance with internet search, assistance with Healthcare Directives and Power of Attorney forms, and classes to older adults- Mobile Community Center: Brings services and socialization to the door or community. The vehicle is equipped with high-speed internet, flat-screen TV, applications for programs, and meeting space for coffee and conversation.- Social: Offers card parties, coffee and conversation time, caregiver respite, karaoke parties, video calls and chats with friends, and social media assistance

Provides hot congregate meals on a regular basis for elderly or disabled adults who may be at risk for nutritional deficits without assistance and who can benefit from opportunities to socialize with others:- Special foods for individuals on diabetic, low-salt, and low-fat diets- Choice of scheduled meal or chef salad

Offers nutritious, balanced meals and food-service options for older adults and others across Minnesota, helping people eat well, stay healthy, and maintain independence without the burden of meal preparation. Services include:- Community Dining Centers and "Diner's Club": Hot, dietitian-designed meals served in a communal setting, great for socializing over a meal- Food Vendor Services: Acts as a food vendor supplying nutritious meals to institutions (child-care centers, schools, adult-day programs, assisted-living facilities) under programs that follow federal nutrition standards- Meals on Wheels: Home-delivered hot meals (typically Monday-Friday, with options for weekends) for older adults who may have difficulty leaving home. Delivery includes a friendly visit and a safety check- Meals to Go: Frozen, ready-to-eat meals shipped statewide, ideal for people living in rural areas or those without access to dining centers or delivery services

Prepares and delivers free, medically tailored meals and nutrition counseling to Minnesota residents diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, cancer, MS, ALS, ESRD, CHF, and COPD. Additional meals for caregivers and dependents available as needed.
