Services include: - Food Assistance: Congregate dining locations offering low-cost meals, low-cost frozen meals, home-delivered meals, NAPS, and SNAP - Healthy Living: Blood pressure checks, fall prevention screenings, telehealth conferences, Tai Chi and yoga sessions, and stretching/balance education - Information Services: Offers memory loss education and Dementia Friends, Medicare counseling and assistance, fraud/scam identification and prevention, assistance with internet search, assistance with Healthcare Directives and Power of Attorney forms, and classes to older adults - Mobile Community Center: Brings services and socialization to the door or community. Provides hot meals to adults ages 60 and over in a sit-down style lunch setting at 6 locations in Hennepin and Anoka counties. Each location is unique and may have specific dietary needs or preferences. Menus are crafted with respect to the unique cultural and religious dietary needs of the communities served. Frozen meals are available at the Anoka, Blaine, and Richfield dining sites. Menus are available online. The program issues electronic food support benefits that can help stretch your household food budget. - Information and Referral: Offers information on resources of local food shelves - Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) Applications: The program is designed to provide healthy and nutritious food products each month at no cost to eligible individuals over the age of 60. Helps eligible individuals apply for the program. - Second Harvest Heartland: Provides a free food distribution program to those in need - Prairie Five Meals Program: Offers congregate dining, home delivered, and frozen meals serving 34 communities in the area. Frozen meals are available for weekend, holiday, emergency and rural delivery. The program promotes health and independent living in the senior population through improved nutrition and reduction of social isolation.

Dining Program: The senior center partners with five local restaurants to serve a noon lunch. Lunches will be available to seniors at a charge of $5.00 per meal. Diners must sign up by 1 pm the day before the meal (sign up for Monday's meal by Friday at 1 pm.) Visit the website to see what restaurants and meals will be served. Meals on Wheels: Provides the Delano area Meals on Wheels program. For individuals, 60 years and older, homebound, and needing a hot meal. Meals can be delivered to the home Monday through Friday. Microwavable meals will be delivered on Friday for weekend meals if ordered.

- Community Dining Locations: Offer affordable meals in a community atmosphere at locations such as senior housing, and community or senior centers - Dine-In or Take-out Service Options: Local restaurants offer meals throughout the day or over the lunch hour with no reservations required - Meals on Wheels Home-Delivery Options: Hot, nutritious meals are typically delivered Monday - Friday to homebound older adults. Frozen meals available for weekends, holidays and other closure days. Clients choose their delivery schedule (minimum of 3 meals per week). They also may choose to have a hot meal delivered daily by a volunteer or choose a combination of hot meals and frozen meals delivered on the days that work best for them. - Bundled Service Program: Nutritious frozen meals, food shelf commodities and Nutritional Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) food boxes are available to older adults living in rural areas outside of the local Meals on Wheels delivery area. 10 or 14 meals packs are delivered in Aitkin, Itasca, Lake and Saint Louis counties. This program also serves as a safety net for participants as telephone contacts and check-ins offer opportunities to convey their day-to-day concerns. In addition to nutritious meals, the service includes nutrition screening, assessment and education. A Registered Dietitian completes a nutritional analysis and approves the cycle menus. Meals comply with the most recent Dietary Guidelines for Americans and provide a minimum of 1/3 of the dietary reference intakes established by the Food and Nutrition Board.
