Participants learn to identify abusive behaviors and are taught to react to situations non-abusively and communicate with their partner.- Support Groups: Provides support groups to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault through empowerment, conversations, and activities. Meetings are held in-person and virtual and times will vary by county office.

Additional services include:- Advocates walk with survivors through the legal process, help fill out orders for protection, attend court hearings, provide information, and offer legal advocacy- Community resources for individuals experiencing abuse (emotional, physical, and sexual)- Emergency safe housing and safety planning for women and their children. Adults can bring their pets with them to the shelter until staff get them connected with the pet safe housing program for a longer-term solution.- Information and referral- Individual support as well as support groups for adults (domestic and sexual violence), as well as children and youth (domestic and sexual violence)

Operates a 24-hour support line staffed by trained advocates. Offers services such as:- Accompany and support in making a police report and/or sexual assault forensic exam at North Shore Health Hospital- Confidential advocacy and emotional support- Emergency short-term safe housing for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault- Free and confidential support for adults and youth ages 13 years and up who can access services without a parent's permission or knowledge- Legal advocacy including obtaining a Harassment Restraining Order (HRO) or Order for Protection (OFP)- Survivor support groups- Referral to additional resources and a lending libraryNOTE: Advocates are not mandated reporters and cannot provide legal advice

Provides child advocacy services for children impacted by domestic and sexual violence, including:- Access to emergency needs (shelter, food, clothing, childcare as available)- Community education for caregivers and professionals- Crisis intervention- Emotional support- Information and referrals- Safety planning- Systems and court advocacy- Transportation support on a case-by-case basis

Can accommodate up to 35 victims and survivors at a time. The average length of stay is 19 days, but staff work with each client on an individual basis to help meet their needs and secure housing. Advocates work with residents and their families, offering support and connecting them to community resources, such as:- Connection to internal pet shelter, Linus' Pet Haven for victims who have a beloved pet- Economic assistance- Education/Job training- Medical servicesOver half of the residents are children. Advocates and volunteers work in partnership with mothers to provide services for the family and children. Staff work with children on:- Child abuse- Parenting- Safety planning- Self-esteem- Sexual abuseIn addition, special activities and outings are planned regularly for children to provide free time for moms to plan for the future and fun for the kids. Offers an on-site school. Teachers work with children in the shelter in a classroom setting, allowing children to maintain a daily routine in a safe environment while staying current with classwork.

Staff help to ensure clients have access to legal assistance and work with court administration/law enforcement. Referrals and ongoing support are also offered, focusing on financial support, health insurance, employment, education, and child care.
