- Cash-grant program for families with low incomes experiencing household emergencies. Financial assistance provided must resolve the emergency and it must be determined to be cost-effective to maintain residence.
- Individuals may receive financial assistance once every 12 months
- Individuals must have used 50% of their income during the past 60 days toward basic needs
- Financial assistance is provided for electric service payment assistance, evictions (mortgage payment assistance if more than two months behind, rent payment assistance if more than two months behind, and rental deposit assistance), gas service payment assistance, heating fuel payment assistance, utility deposit assistance, and water service payment assistance. Phone service is covered if medically necessary and a physician's statement is required.
- Financial assistance is made in the form of payment directly to the provider (landlord or utility company)
NOTE: Client may also be eligible for Emergency Medical Assistance.

- Threat of eviction from a landlord/management or homelessness as a result of domestic abuse. Rent and/or rental deposit assistance is provided. Mortgage payment assistance is not considered unless the family is in foreclosure or experiencing difficulty from an employment crisis.
- Adults can receive assistance once in a 12-month period
- Financial aid is provided directly to the vendor

- Families can receive assistance once every 12 months
- Applicant's name must be on the lease or utility bill
- Applicant(s) must be able to show that their rent and utility costs are affordable
- Emergency assistance is paid directly to the vendor
- Payments, if approved, in combination with other available resources, must be able to resolve the crisis, not just delay it
- Does not provide financial assistance for damage deposits in excess of two month's rent, utility deposits or reconnection charges, legal fees and court costs, garage rental, or moving expenses
