Provides for a rent subsidy to be paid to the owner of a rental unit on behalf of the eligible applicant. Those eligible will pay approximately 30% of its monthly income for rent, and Todd County Housing and Redevelopment Authority will make up the difference to the approved payment standard. Rent is to include maintenance and utility services. NOTE: Provides 25 Housing Choice Vouchers for Non-Elderly Disabled persons. Currently a waiting list for vouchers.

The Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) Program (formerly known as Section 8), is designed to assist very low-income families, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Program participants choose a rental unit from the private rental market and the property owner must be willing to accept voucher-assisted tenants. All assisted rental units must pass an annual inspection based on federally established Housing Quality Standards.
