Food shelf which can be used once in a 30-day period. Families receive food for three - five days. Hygiene items may be available as supplies last. Vouchers for clothing (adults and families), and bedding/linens. Provides Bridging referrals for individuals needing furniture. Transportation: Bus and gas cards are available for individuals who are experiencing homelessness and in a Coordinated Entry program or for individuals who are starting a job but haven't received their first paycheck yet. HeatShare, seasonal services, Family Camp, back to school program, seasonal programs Coordinated Entry assessments for adult families and singles 24 and older in Anoka County Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP): Funds are only available to individuals and families facing an eviction. Funding varies month to month and may not be available. NOTE: One phone line is set aside for this program. It stays open until there are more than 80 requests per week. Then it is closes until staff are caught up on intakes. When the intakes are caught up, the line is opened again. Individuals should try the phone number a few times throughout the week. If someone asks, let them know to keep checking Line 5 - it will open again soon. Rapid Rehousing: Provides services for people experiencing homelessness that have found housing. Street Outreach: Provides outreach services such as food and transportation for people experiencing homelessness.

Collects, stores, and provides bath towels, bath rugs, bakeware, clean bedding (bed blankets, comforters, mattress pads, new or gently used pillows, and sheets), dishes, dish towels, flatware, glasses, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, used furniture (bed frames, chairs, chests, coffee tables, dinette sets, dressers, end tables, lamps, love seats, mattresses, nightstands, small bookcases, and sofas), and basic household items in working condition (blenders, coffee makers, irons, fans, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners) in good condition from community members and shares with families in need in Douglas County through referrals from approved community service and crisis agencies.

Clothing closet can be accessed once a month per client. Also accepts donations of these items. Individuals with a shopping appointment have the option to receive a voucher for shopping in the Thrift Store.

Vouchers for clothing (single adults only), bedding and kitchen items. Household: Furniture is not free. Vouchers are given to assist clients in the purchase of furniture at a discount price at the Salvation Army Thrift Stores. Clients must verify they have recently left a shelter, or that they have a new living situation or other crisis situation through a case worker, pastor, school social worker, landlord, etc. Vouchers are capped at $100 per family and can not be used for beds. Transportation: Clients can qualify for tokens or a bus card in one of two ways. The caseworker must be able to verify by telephone that the client has a permanent job for which they have not received their first paycheck or a permanent job interview or has a medical appointment. Hygiene: Items such as shampoo, soap and toothpaste are available. Clients are eligible once every two months. Provides a twin bed frame, box spring, twin mattresses, mattress pad, bedding, a new pair of pajamas, and a dental kit delivered to a child's home. Assistance is limited to one in a lifetime. Volunteer opportunities include bed delivery and in-home setup, as well as fundraising activities.
