Accepts donations of items listed below; donations should be dropped off at 414 West First Street, Duluth, MN 55802. Accepted Items: - New and unopened full sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap and deodorant - Toilet Paper - New towels - Diapers - New and unopened socks and underwear for women and children - Gently used winter coats, gloves, hats and boots - Cleaning and sanitizing supplies - Cell phones and chargers Not Accepted: - Used clothing - Used household items - TVs, microwaves, computers, etc - Perfume and mouth wash - Knives, scissors or other sharp items - Clothing and/or household goods in poor conditions - Children's toys

Provides the following services once every 12 months: - Discounted Cell Phones: A representative from Open Access Connections is available Tuesdays except for the 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 9:30 am - 11:30 am, to assist clients with applying for a discounted ($30) cell phone and/or a voice mail number/box. Note: The Basilica does not provide free cell phones or the $30. Gas cards: $20 maximum to Speedway; valid license is required Vouchers to assist with obtaining a state ID, Minnesota driver's license, birth certificate from any state, and the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store for clothing and/or housewares (no furniture). Bus cards for those with verifiable new jobs and gas cards for individuals with a valid driver's license. Must reside in the city of Minneapolis. Provides the following services once every 30 days: Laundry vouchers for one wash and dry (limited supply) Hygiene items

Free phone service for those that are low income or in qualifying state or government programs. Qualifying individuals may be eligible for a free cell phone. Telephone Nation will deliver cell phones by mail or in person depending on staff availability.
The federal Lifeline and the state Telephone Assistance Program (TAP) provide a monthly discount on phone bills, including cell phones. Lifeline is a discount of approximately $9.25, which can be used for wireless phones, broadband internet, home phones, or a bundle. Some cellular companies may provide free cellular phones, and additional discounts or minutes. TAP is a discount of $7 that can only be used for home phones. Those living on federally recognized tribal lands/reservations can receive additional discounts. Customers cannot receive multiple discounts (landline and wireless, or two wireless). Only one discount per household is allowed. The discount continues for as long as the consumer remains eligible, but eligibility must be certified on an annual basis. While all local telephone companies offer TAP, not all local telephone companies are required to offer Lifeline. Provides support services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. The center also works with children who have witnessed abuse. Additional services include: - Advocacy and follow-up support - Court accompaniment - Crisis information - Education programs - Information and referral - Intake assessments for coordinated entry housing programs - Order for protection and harassment restraining - Order filling assistance - Reparations assistance - Safety planning - Support groups Also accepts donations of cell phones and inkjet cartridges. Cell phones are offered to individuals who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault so they may place emergency (911) phone calls. Other cell phones and inkjet cartridges are mailed to a company that recycles the phones and in turn, donates to Crisis Resource Center of Steele County.

- Individuals can obtain a community voice mail number with a 651 area code, to use on job applications, housing applications, and stay in touch with friends and family. Individuals will be able to retrieve messages from any touch tone phone. - Offers assistance to apply for the Lifeline cellphone program. Eligible participants will receive a free monthly phone plan which includes 1,000 minutes of talk, 500 units of text, and 100 MB of data.
