The Highway Department oversees: - Bridges: Provides surveys, design, construction, obtaining special funding, and maintenance - County Drainage Ditches: Provides maintenance and construction - Roads and Construction: Provides surveys, designs, bids, and inspections. Also provides maintenance such as blading surfaces, plowing snow, mowing ditches, and road signs. Repair services in culverts, tiles, ditch washouts, frost boils, and pavements.

The reporting process is slightly different between the metro area and greater Minnesota. Visit website for instructions. Reports for county or city roads should be made with the appropriate public works department. Information about damage from potholes is generally available with the reporting agency.
