Cash-grant program for families with low incomes experiencing household emergencies. Families can receive assistance once every 12 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Families must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help. Emergency assistance provides short-term, one-time assistance for households in a financial crisis because of a utility shut-off, trash removal, moving expenses, transportation expense to maintain employment, eviction, or foreclosure due to a loss of shelter.

Provides the following services once every 12 months: - Discounted Cell Phones: A representative from Open Access Connections is available Tuesdays except for the 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 9:30 am - 11:30 am, to assist clients with applying for a discounted ($30) cell phone and/or a voice mail number/box. Note: The Basilica does not provide free cell phones or the $30. Gas cards: $20 maximum to Speedway; valid license is required Vouchers to assist with obtaining a state ID, Minnesota driver's license, birth certificate from any state, and the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store for clothing and/or housewares (no furniture). Bus cards for those with verifiable new jobs and gas cards for individuals with a valid driver's license. Must reside in the city of Minneapolis. Provides the following services once every 30 days: Laundry vouchers for one wash and dry (limited supply) Hygiene items
