Change Step helps end abusive behaviors and replace them with actions that build and support healthy relationships. It is developed specifically for military service members and veterans of the armed services and incorporates the impact of military culture, deployment, PTSD, resulting in separation from family, and the effects of combat. Intervention and Prevention Group Therapy: for adults who are interested in addressing the use of violence in intimate and familial relationships. Hosting 5 groups, three days a week (2 in the morning, 3 in the evening) for individuals who are currently or have a history of used violence in relationships. This program is 24 group sessions plus periodic individual psychotherapy sessions to address program and goal progression and reflection. Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Intervention and Prevention Group Therapy: services are offered through a partnership with juvenile probation. Eligible participants are ages 18 - 24 years old and are referred through juvenile probation, the program is 24 weeks long.

Offers a 21-week program for people who have behaved abusively in relationships. It is designed to provide participants with options for responding to trauma and intense emotions in relationships. Focuses on teaching about the impact of trauma, what it looks like, how it shows up in symptoms and behaviors, and how it impacts decisions and impulses on how to respond to experiences in the world. Participants learn about relationships, communication strategies and styles, and skills to regulate emotions so they can respond to conflict in healthy ways.??Individuals can refer themselves or be referred by the court, probation, child protection, or another agency. Groups are divided by gender. Day and evening times are available for the men's groups.

Educational program for women who have used violence in relationships to help them understand the violence in their lives, both what they experience and the violence they use, as well as how to end both.

Provides education and support that address cultural perspectives and factors surrounding patterns of violence and abuse. Helps Latino adults to learn and apply skills to end violent behavior in their relationships, families, and communities.

- Group and individual therapy: Are provided for domestic abuse issues. Groups for abusive men and abused women, and play therapy for children who have been abused or have witnessed the abuse. Also offers anger management groups for women. Anger management groups and therapy groups for children and adolescents are available. Parenting groups for parents of children exposed to domestic violence are also available. After completion of the domestic abuse program, restorative parenting groups are offered to men and women to address the needs of children affected by domestic violence. After completion of the domestic abuse program, family therapy and couples therapy may be available for those who wish to work on their relationships. - Sexual Assault Program: Group therapy and individual therapy available to women who have been sexually assaulted or sexually abused at any time in their lives - Restorative Parenting Program: 12-week group therapy program for women whose children have been exposed to domestic violence, and a 10-week group therapy program is available for fathers who have exposed their children to violence in the home. Family therapy is available and recommended in conjunction with the group therapy program. Group therapy for children and adolescents exposed to violence is also available if there are sufficient numbers of age appropriate youth.

Co-occurring addiction treatment program which provides outpatient programming including: - Domestic Violence Program: 48 hours (24 sessions in 6 months). Helps men comprehend the full impact of domestic violence on their personal lives and loved ones' lives. Starting with an individual evaluation to see what services are needed, EmPower CTC helps participants with 24-week group sessions or individual sessions as needed. Other features include progress reports, dual disorder special programming, extended programming as needed and continued aftercare. - Individual Assessments: Mental health and chemical health. Recommendations are provided and may include treatment either through EmPower CTC or another facility clinically appropriate for the individual. If the recommendation is for inpatient, EmPower CTC can assist with that process with facilities throughout Minnesota. - Individual Therapy: For addictive behaviors, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder-ADHD, anxiety, concentration and decision making, depression, impulse control, low self-esteem, obsessive behaviors, PTSD, relationship issues, trauma-induced disorders, veteran adjustment issues and more - Primary Chemical Dependency Outpatient: 90 hours (29 group sessions and 3 individual sessions in 10 weeks): 3 days - Relapse Prevention: 90 hours (36 mixed-gender group sessions plus 18 individual sessions in 18 weeks): 2 nights per week

Advocates assist at the time of an incident, through the court process, and the emergency shelter period, if needed. Services include: Criminal Justice Intervention: Provide advocacy to victims-survivors who have an active case in the justice system and monitor the system's response to relationship abuse at all stages of the process. Advocates engage law enforcement agencies, either by phone or on the scene of a relationship abuse incident. On-Scene Advocates: Advocates are called to the scene of a relationship abuse incident immediately after the scene has been secured by law enforcement. Advocates will provide immediate assistance to the victim to reach services as soon as possible.
