Bureau of Criminal Apprehension - BCA - Minnesota Department of Public Safety

- Criminal Identity Theft Support: Provides procedures for victims whose identity was fraudulently used during an arrest. Victims may request that their name be submitted to the FBI's NCIC Identity Theft File. - DEA Task Force - Human Trafficking Tip Line: Individuals can report suspected human trafficking by emailing [email protected] - ICE Midwest Regional Task Force - Investigative Assistance: Provides investigative support to criminal justice agencies statewide and participates in task forces such as: - Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) - Joint Terrorism Task Force - Methamphetamine Offender Registry: https://dps.mn.gov/divisions/bca/bca-divisions/mnjis/criminal-history-information/methamphetamine-offender-registry Maintains a registry of individuals convicted of felony-level methamphetamine manufacture. Searchable by first name (or initial), last name, and/or county. Information includes the offender's identity, conviction, arresting agency, county of conviction, and sentence. Exclusions: arrest data, juvenile data, criminal history from other states, federal convictions, convictions older than 15 years, and other private/confidential data. - Minnesota Duty Officer Program: Serves as the central point for local and state agencies to request state-level assistance for emergencies, serious accidents, or hazardous materials/petroleum spills. Emergency guidance: Call 911 if there is an immediate threat to life or property. - North Star Fugitive Task Force - State Criminal Data Repository: Houses data on arrests for felony and misdemeanor offenses. Criminal conviction data is public for 15 years after sentence completion. Individuals may request their own criminal history, including private data. Public records can be viewed at the BCA office using lobby computers or obtained by written request.
