Minnesota Department of Human Services provides a telephone line and an online option to make an anonymous report of allegations of fraud, waste, or abuse of Minnesota Department of Health and Human Services resources. Included are reports of child care subsidy, Medicaid, Food Share, TANF/Welfare-to-work programs, and WIC fraud. Other benefit fraud may be reported and the appropriate office will be notified.

Fraud Prevention staff accepts reports and handles the preliminary investigation of a public assistance fraud complaint. After the complaint is received, an investigation is conducted to determine if the complaint should be forwarded to the County Attorney's office.
