Bluff Country Family Resources provides crisis response and ongoing supportive services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Services include a 24-hour crisis line providing immediate telephone connection with a trained volunteer advocate who can provide immediate in-person crisis response services. The advocate can also assist with obtaining a protective order / temporary restraining order, safety planning, and accompaniment to court or legal services (restraining orders, stalking/harassment orders, divorce proceedings, child custody issues, or other related legal concerns). Emergency financial assistance may also be available for food, gas, or other basic necessities (on a case-by-case basis).
Other services include ongoing emotional support including mutual support groups for survivors of domestic violence, harassment, or stalking and information and referral to appropriate community agencies including referrals for male survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault.

- Emergency funds up to $500 maximum for replacement of necessary property that was lost, stolen or damaged as a result of a crime, expenses relating to ensuring safety and security, and crime scene clean-up. Applicant must be a victim of the crime, must make a police report and be cooperative with the investigation, must not have been engaged in criminal behavior at the time of their victimization, and must have a financial need. Applicant must live in Dakota County or the crime they are a victim of should have occurred in Dakota County. Applicant can apply once per crime. Payment is made to the vendor/service provider (i.e. locksmith, mechanic, etc.) directly whenever possible. A check can reimburse the victim only with proof of payment, such as an original receipt.

Sexual Assault Hotlines
Provide support to those who have been affected by domestic violence or sexual assault. Services may include:
- 24-Hour Crisis Hotline: Provides a hotline for advocacy, resources, and shelter for all victims of violence. The hotline provides information and safety planning to support victims.
- Advocacy: Legal advocates can help victims navigate and explain the legal system in criminal and civil protective order cases. Helps victims work with local police, city, and county attorneys to advocate on the victim's behalf. Assist in filing Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders. Attend court hearings with victims to provide information and support and more.
- Emergency Shelter: A 24-hour domestic violence and sexual violence emergency shelter within Carlton, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, and Pine counties. The Black Dog Hill Shelter provides secure emergency shelter and access to basic needs to survivors and children. Basic needs include meals, toiletries, clothing, linens, diapers, laundry facilities, and access to a food shelf.
- Intervention: Offers a Batterers Intervention Program to those interested and/or court-ordered to participate in a psycho-educational group led by trained professional facilitators. Participants learn to identify abusive behaviors and are taught to react to situations non-abusively and communicate with their partner.
- Support Groups: Provides support groups to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault through empowerment, conversations, and activities. Meetings are held in-person and virtual and times will vary by county office.

Domestic Violence Prevention and Intervention: An intervention and healing program for Native women, girls, and Two Spirit people who have experienced intimate partner violence, including domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and/or commercial sexual exploitation. Offers counseling and community-based education activities to clients that encourage healing, build resilience, reduce risk of repeat traumas, etc.
Healing Journey: A structured peer support group for adult American Indian women ages 18 and over who are challenged by chronic mental health, substance use, and trauma histories.
?Safe Harbor Initiative: A supportive program for youth ages 24 and under who have experienced sexual exploitation or are at risk of sexual exploitation.
?Sexual Assault Advocacy: Provides crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, forensic examination support, and court advocacy for American Indian survivors of sexual violence.
Street Outreach: A collaborative street outreach program designed to facilitate a path towards a healthier life for people who are ready to make a positive change.
Wawokiye: Provides outreach and services for youth and adults who are experiencing sex trafficking, unsheltered relatives, and those who need services realted to opioid addictions.
