In partnership with the juvenile justice system, Circle Sentencing is a collaborative process that includes those harmed by crime/negative behavior, those who commit crime or are truant, and community members in creating a sentence, supporting those who commit crime or are truant in fulfilling the obligation of the sentence, and providing support for everyone involved to prevent future crime/negative behavior.

General Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Programs
Community-based program that works with troubled youth and youth offenders. The program includes a variety of interventions and all include the young person taking responsibility for his/her actions and understanding of their behavior. This program works in conjunction with schools, law enforcement, and counties. Parents are involved through the whole process, as well as receive support from other community members. Classes, individual programs, and groups are offered to develop healthy and positive decision-making skills.

- Anger management workshop for youth - Basic mediator training, advanced skills, in-service workshops, and peer mediator training - Mediation: Structured dispute resolution process in which a neutral third party assists people in reaching a settlement of differences. It is a voluntary process that provides an opportunity for all parties to express and resolve issues which may be of concern to them. It requires all parties to enter into a dialogue with good faith and a desire to reach a mutually acceptable agreement. - Education: Workshops and presentations about conflict resolution and mediation Types of Cases Handled: Neighborhood problems, tenant/landlord, business/consumer, employer/employees, post-divorce visitation, victim/offender, family communication, elder issues, school/teacher/student/parent, bullying, etc. Mediation and Restorative Services is a member organization of Community Mediation of Minnesota which is a statewide single entry point for conflict resolution services. Clients can request a mediation via the website or contact any member organization directly.

Restorative practices help restore the harm caused by crimes committed. Works with juvenile offenders, family members and victims by using the Circle Process to provide mediation for different levels of offenders: diversion, misdemeanor theft, gross misdemeanor and felony, and juveniles that are incarcerated.
