Provides an online application to residents who have past due rent in order to help households remain in their current housing situation. Financial assistance may be provided for past due rent and the Family Homelessness Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP), the Local Affordable Housing Aid (LAHA), and the Statewide Affordable Housing Aid (SAHA) funding. There is currently a lifetime cap amount to how much a household can apply for assistance. NOTE: Households in Hennepin County who meet income guidelines that need rent assistance should apply through the Rent Help Hennepin website and should not be directed to Emergency Assistance (EA)/Emergency General Assistance (EGA).

Self-help center for individuals choosing to represent themselves in court: - Helps self-represented litigants locate free or low cost legal services and programs, as well as mediation services - Provides information about the court process, practice and procedure - Provides instructions on how to complete court forms and review filled-out forms for completeness related to a variety of court proceedings, including civil actions, conciliation court matters, criminal expungement, family law (including child support, custody and divorce), landlord/tenant law, name changes and more. These include the criminal justice system, law enforcement, governmental entities, social services, civil attorneys and others. An attorney and legal advocate work specifically with victim/survivors on the sometimes complicated issues that can arise as a result of sexual violence. Legal services for victims of sexual assault including: - Applying for a protection order, known as an Order for Protection (OFP) or Harassment Restraining Orders (HRO) - Applying for Crime Victim Reparations (reimbursement for expenses due to the violence) - Applying for the Safe at Home Address Confidentiality Program - Assistance Writing Victim Impact Statements - Attending court and campus hearings - Ending a lease due to sexual violence - Follow up interviews with law enforcement or educational institutions - Legal advice and representation in civil legal matters including: - Divorce, child custody, and paternity - Employment - Housing (landlord/tenant disputes) - Immigration - Orders for Protection/Harassment Restraining Orders - Title IX (prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or any other education program) - Provide information about the criminal justice process - Reporting sexual violence, including trafficking and exploitation - Safety planning

Navigators can help with renewal paperwork and reporting changes. Including, but not limited to income changes, household size, address change, and loss of employer-sponsored coverage.
Provides information, resources, and referrals for services to older adults and their caregivers. Assistance may include application assistance with financial programs, homecare and support group resources, healthcare directive completion, food programs, issues related to caring for someone living with dementia and more. Advocates can assist by telephone, home visit, or a family meeting.

The program issues electronic food support benefits that can help stretch your household food budget. - Information and Referral: Offers information on resources of local food shelves - Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) Applications: The program is designed to provide healthy and nutritious food products each month at no cost to eligible individuals over the age of 60. Helps eligible individuals apply for the program. - Second Harvest Heartland: Provides a free food distribution program to those in need - Prairie Five Meals Program: Offers congregate dining, home delivered, and frozen meals serving 34 communities in the area. Frozen meals are available for weekend, holiday, emergency and rural delivery. The program promotes health and independent living in the senior population through improved nutrition and reduction of social isolation.
