Federal Head Start and Early Head Start, and State Head Start Services for at-risk children ages birth - 5 and their families, including: - Dental - Developmental screening - Early intervention services - Education designed to meet the individual needs of each child - Family and community partnerships and advocacy - Health - Parent engagement and education Early Childhood Family Education Services for children ages birth to kindergarten. ECFE works to strengthen families and help them to provide the best possible environment for their child's learning and growth. Early Childhood Special Education Provides early intervention services for children identified through screening as needing additional supports in their education. Early education will ensure these services are provided in the least restrictive environment and most culturally appropriate setting. Services including: - Developmental supports - Occupational therapy - Physical therapy - Speech, language, and more Child Care Childcare is run seamlessly with other Early Education program for children ages 6 weeks - 11 years. Project Secure - Parents In Community Action - PICA

Children and parents living in one of four shelters in Minneapolis (Families Moving Forward, Mary's Place, People Serving People, or St. Anne's) receive comprehensive Head Start or Early Head Start services through the Full Day Project Secure program. Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers are cared for at Fraser and McKnight centers, and their parents receive additional supportive services to help them stabilize their families and seek employment. Children enrolled in Project Secure are given priority for enrollment in PICA's other Head Start or Early Head Start program options when they and their families move from the shelters.

Parent and Early Childhood Education - Neighborhood House

Programming is designed to provide access to community resources and encourage parent and community participation in issues that affect the daily lives of families with children ages birth - 7 years. Early Childhood Home Visits: Staff visit participants in-home which helps identify child and family needs early. Provides support for both the children and parents in a setting that promotes positive relationships with the entire family. Provides information about child development and assists family members in navigating the school system. Skills for School: Designed for children ages 3 - 5 years, helps participants develop the skills they need to enter kindergarten. Helps teach children fundamentals like colors, letters, and numbers while developing social skills.
