Courses in leadership and nonprofit management, along with seminars and directed studies in arts and cultural studies, provide working professionals a degree with a clear, career-related focus.
- Certificate programs (undergraduate and graduate) deliver the concentrated knowledge and skills needed for fast career advancement or career change. Short courses follow the university's academic calendar while professional development certificates are comprised of short courses.
- The Master of Biological Sciences is a uniquely flexible graduate program designed to meet the needs of working adults seeking to advance their expertise in a particular area of modern biology. The program enables students to learn new job skills, change professional emphasis, or provide added value to their present job. The program structure includes both classroom and online coursework, seminars, and directed research.
- The Master of Liberal Studies, a writing intensive program, offers an interdisciplinary masters program geared for students who would like to define and design their own course of study.
- The Master of Professional Studies in Horticulture offers a flexible program designed to enhance the capacity of those currently working in the horticulture industry, and provides the knowledge base needed by others interested in beginning new careers, starting their own business, or pursuing personal interests in horticulture.
