Community Education provides many classes, activities, and events in the some of following areas: - Adult Basic Education: Offers free English language classes for adults, 17 and older, who are not enrolled in school. Learn and practice English speaking, reading, and writing skills with others in the community.- Adult Programs: Offers a wide variety of adult enrichment classes in the areas of art, fitness and recreation, health and safety, and lifestyle. - Aquatics: Swim lessons, group, private, adaptive, diving, and Lifeguard training.- Kids Connection: Provides enriching out-of-school-time activities before and after school, on non-school days, and during the summer. - Youth: Youth enrichment and sports camps. Clubs, programs, and classes are designed for every youth in mind.- Tiger Preschool: Offering Tiger Preschool with before and after care through the Kid Connection program. Adult Education provides adults with educational opportunities to acquire and improve literacy skills to become self-sufficient, proud employees, family members, and citizens.Adult Education offers the following classes:English Language Learning (ELL): ELL classes are designed for adults who are new to the English language and U.S. culture. Instruction focuses on communication for everyday life, such as the workplace, for all levels of English speakers. Skills include reading, writing, speaking, and listening.High School Equivalency Preparation: High School Equivalency preparation is offered for eligible adults looking to obtain their High School Equivalency Diploma. Basic Skills Courses: Classroom opportunities are available for native and foreign-born community members. Instruction is personalized and based on the goals of each learner. Basic skills courses offer classes in the following areas: - Grammar, punctuation, and writing - Fractions, percents, and decimals - Reading fluency and comprehension - Preparation for college or technical school - Preparation for the workforce - Study for driver's written test in English for driving class?- Understand and practice fundamentals in basic computer skills class

Parenting education program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to Kindergarten entrance. Learning opportunities through ECFE may occur in a variety of settings, such as the families' homes, district or community sites, and online parenting education and support.
