Provides the following educational services:- Adult Basic Education: a group of individualized programs designed to help adult learners complete a high school diploma, pass the GED, review for college entrance and improve reading, writing, and math skills.???- English Learner - EL: a program for adults seeking to improve their English language communication skills. Students work together in classroom settings. Classes are offered at many different skill levels and the curriculum focuses on helping learners successfully navigate systems of public schools, city, county and state governments, colleges, and work culture- Distance Learning and Basic Skills: program reviews reading, math, and grammar skills in an online setting. Meant for individuals who can work at their own pace at a time that works for them rather than a strict classroom schedule.

Community education classes and activities include: - Adult Enrichment: Adult basic education, ESL, GED, computer literacy skills, career pathways, smart driver courses, dance and exercise classes. - Driver's Education: Lakeview Community Education has partnered with A+ Driving School for the Driver's Education Program. - Youth Enrichment: Provides educational programs and athletics/activity opportunities for children to explore their interests and build new skills.

Provides one-to-one tutoring in literacy and numeracy in youth and adults. Services may include:- In-home tutoring available for adult women without access to transportation or child care- One-to-one tutoring to improve reading, writing, and math skills. Also, helps with studies in citizenship and English Language Learning.- Students attending one hour per week during the school year- Summer sessions available for adults and youth

Provides a full spectrum of learning options for community members in person and online. Adult Education services include:- Basic skills (math, reading, and writing) and computer training- Budgeting and financial literacy- GED preparation- Interview skills- Citizenship- College and career preparation- Creating a resume- English Language Learning (ELL)/English as a Second Language (ESL)-Industry-specific training such as entrepreneur training, carpentry, pre-apprenticeship, ServSafe food manager certification, and para-professional certificationAdults set their own goals and work at their own pace. Services provided:- Assistance in preparing for the GED examination is available at Anoka Technical College, Blaine Learning Center, Elk River ABE, and Saint Francis ABE- Brush-up instruction in reading, writing, and math is available at all sites except Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Centennial Adult Continuing Education, and Brooklyn Center ABE- Credit Recovery Diploma available at Blaine Learning Lab and Elk River ABE- English as a Second Language class for foreign-born adults is available at all sites except Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College- GED Testing Centers are located at the Anoka Technical College and the Blaine Learning Lab site- Minnesota State Diploma available at the Blaine Learning Lab and Elk River Community Education Center sites

Employment - Partners with the Minnesota Department of Human Services - Refugee Assistance Program to provide assistance developing job skills and finding employmentHealth - Grant-funded through UCare to provide education regarding diabetes, child and teen check-ups, and mental health - Partners with Minnesota Care Counseling to provide linguistically appropriate trauma counseling - Works with the Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities to provide leadership training to people with disabilities in the Somali and Latinx communities - Works with the Minnesota Department of Health to assess Somali communities throughout southern Minnesota for suicide prevention readiness and come up with plans to increase prevention measuresResettlement - Assistance with health care access, legal protection, education, training for income generation skills, and other services - Assists new arrivals with documentation paperwork and in navigating the American system - English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are taught at Faribault site through partnership with Faribault Adult Basic Education - Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services assists with legal issues and documentation - Works with Rice County Social Services to connect transportation and childcare resources, and provide job search assistanceYouth and Elders - Programming for health and socialization is provided for elders in partnership with UCare - Provides work experiences and supported employment to older workers through the Senior Community Supported Employment Program - Through partnerships with the Minnesota Department of Human Services and the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, leadership, soft skills training, and assistance with job searching is providing to youth

Offers educational programs such as:- Best Buy Teen Tech Center: A drop-in space for teens ages 14 - 18 to be creative and develop new skills. The center helps youth expand their interests and discover career paths through technology-based projects in programming, film-making, music production, graphic design, and much more.- Citizenship Classes: Prepare students to pass the United States Citizenship exam successfully. Classes are taught in English only. The class topics include the process of becoming a citizen, United States history and government, interview preparation and practice, study materials, and other resources.- English Language Classes (ESL): Classes open to anyone who would like to improve their English skills. Students learn how to read, write, speak, and understand the English language while also gaining essential life skills that will better prepare them to navigate life in the United States. Classes are offered online on Zoom.- GED Preparation Classes: Help students prepare to take the GED (High School Equivalent) exam. Classes cover all testing subjects, including math, social studies, science, and language arts (grammar and writing). Classes are offered in person, while Math courses are offered online on Zoom.- Youth in Action (YA!): A Latine-focused youth program for 9th - 12th grade students in the Twin Cities Area providing mentorship, leadership development, skill-building opportunities, college preparation, community service-learning projects, and innovative programs.
