Program provides up to $5,000 per school year to help students under the age of 26 who have aged out of foster care for post-secondary education at college, university, vocational, technical or trade schools. The Minnesota Education and Training Voucher (ETV) Program provides the funds. The money does not need to be paid back. Eligible applicants need to follow the grant application process. NOTE: This service is offered in Willmar, however, it supports 120-150 students across the state each year

The Financial Aid office can help students anticipate the cost of college, complete the FAFSA application, get financial aid for which they are eligible for including student grants and loans, and work study programs, and help make the process of paying for college understandable.

Two scholarships are offered to national undergraduates and graduates. Scholarship amount and distribution depend on eligibility requirements. National Undergraduate Scholarship: - $3,000 annually up to four consecutive years until the student receives a maximum of $12,000 or graduates with a bachelor's degree, whichever comes first - Payable in equal amounts (per semester/trimester/quarter) directly to the college, university, or vocational-technical school for the purpose of defraying tuition and other fee costs (books are not to be included) Graduate Scholarship: - $3,000 per school year for up to two consecutive years until the student receives a maximum of $6,000 or graduates with a Graduate or Ph.D. degree, whichever comes first - Payable in equal amounts (per semester/trimester/quarter) directly to the college or university for the purpose of defraying tuition and other fee costs (books are not to be included)
ACB offers scholarships for those attending a technical college or entering as a freshman undergraduate or a graduate student. Must be legally blind in both eyes, and a U.S. citizen. The application will be available at www.acb.org in early November, and it is due back February 14th.
Federal Student Aid (FSA): - Eligible students who are planning to attend college or career school can apply for federally funded financial assistance to help pay for education beyond high school - Visit website to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Federal Student Aid (FSA) Ombudsman Group: - Individuals who have completed an online application, may have a dispute, or believe to have a wrong or incomplete answer from their application submission can reach the FSA Ombudsman group - Help resolve discrepancies with loan balances/payments - Resolve issues with Pell Grant disbursements or overpayments - Explain loan interest and collection charges - Identify options for resolving issues related to consolidation, service quality, default status, bankruptcy, income tax refund offsets, and other concerns - Clarify requirements of loan deferment or forbearance, loan cancellation, or discharge

Early Learning Scholarship: Assists with paying for childcare or early child care education Minnesota's Child Care Assistance Program: Provides financial assistance to help families pay for child care. Mahube-Otwa administers the Child Care Assistance Program in Becker, Otter Tail, Wadena, and Marshall counties.
Provides an early learning scholarship to families with children ages 3 - 5 years to improve access to quality child care and improve school readiness. Families with children ages birth - 2 years old are eligible if identified as a priority population. Scholarships provide financial assistance to eligible families to help pay for quality child care and early education programs participating in Parent Aware.
