Family Health Services - Waseca County Public Health Services

Car Seat Program: Medica and UCare have a car seat program for children up to 8 years of age. Education and installation of the car seat are offered to any resident of Becker County. Child and Teen Checkups (C&TC): Child and Teen Checkups are offered to any Waseca County resident under the age of 21. Checkups include: hearing and vision screening, developmental screening, physical exam, lead screening, immunizations, and referrals to other health care providers as necessary. Follow Along Program: Consists of a series of developmental questionnaires the parent completes and returns to Waseca County Community Health. The questionnaire is scored and a letter is sent to the parent with the results. This program is free to all children in Waseca County under the age of 36 months. Home Visiting Program: Home visits are offered to pregnant women, infants, and children to provide ongoing support. Maternal Child Health Services: All Waseca County families with a newborn are contacted by a Community Health Nurse. A home visit will be offered to provide new parents with information on feeding choices, newborn cares and additional support.

Follow Along Program - Olmsted County Public Health Services

Follow Along Program is a screening program that can answer parents' questions, help them learn about age-appropriate development, and assist with referrals when there are concerns. Follow Along is a mail-in program, at no cost to parents, that uses the Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQs) to screen for and teach about children's health and development. The program helps parents find out if their child is hearing, moving, seeing, playing, talking, learning, growing, and acting normally as their child reaches different ages.
