The county Veteran's Service Office assists veterans and their families with obtaining the local, state, and federal benefits that they are entitled to receive. DAV (Disabled American Veterans) transportation provides volunteers to transport eligible veterans to the non-emergency medical appointments in Rochester, Minneapolis, La Crosse, Madison, and Tomah on an as needed basis. The veteran must be ambulatory and if assistance is required a care provider may ride along to assist. Portable oxygen tanks are permitted.
