Medical Care Expense Assistance
- Partners Care Program: Assists patients who do not qualify for Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care, and whose annual incomes are at or below 275% of the federal poverty level - Payment plans - Uninsured Discount Program: Individuals who do not have health insurance and do not qualify for Medicaid or Partners Care receive a discount on medically necessary charges. Patients with insurance who receive medically necessary services that are not covered by their insurance may also be eligible.

Patients must apply for financial assistance within 240 days after the date of their first post-services billing statement. Applicants are notified of financial assistance eligibility in writing within 30 days of receipt of the application. Uninsured Discount: Offers a discount to customers who are not eligible for financial assistance and income is less than $125,000 Senior Partners Care: Partner with Senior Community Services to waive clinic co-insurance and deductibles for customers who are members of Senior Partners Care AblePay: Program allows patients to save up to 13% on deductibles, coinsurance, and copays at no cost to the patient Extended Payment Plan through ClearBalance: Provides an affordable patient financing program with flexible repayment terms to help consumers pay out-of-pocket hospital expenses, including deductibles and insurance co-payments

Other options may include: Charity Care/Financial Assistance: Intended to assist those low-income, underinsured, and/or uninsured individuals who cannot otherwise pay full charges as determined under the hospital's qualification criteria. It should take into account each individual's ability to contribute to the cost of his or her care. Good Faith Estimate: Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. This service is for those who receive a bill that is at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate.
