Community-based pre-apprenticeship program. Participants receive hands-on training in construction and carpentry skills while working toward their GED or high school diploma. Employment and Training - Oak Park Center

Public Allies: an AmeriCorps ten-month, full-time program which includes an apprenticeship at a local nonprofit organization, weekly training on nonprofit mechanics and value-based leadership, individualized coaching etc. Participants earn a $1500 monthly stipend and earn a $5,920 eduction award after successful completion of the program. Runs September - June.
