Avivo Institute of Career and Technical Education - Avivo

Career education training programs are short-term and industry-specific, designed to graduate students with industry-specific credentials and enter a career pathway that results in wage advancement. All students (aside from HVAC and Solar training) begin their career pathway in Workplace Essentials, a short training course designed to incorporate interpersonal, financial, and technical skill basics into one compact course that sets the pace for advanced learning. Industry-recognized credentials are incorporated into most of the Career Education Training Programs that include not only the preparation for the credential exam, but the exam itself. Articulation agreements are also incorporated into specific trainings, allowing individuals to have their classroom hours transfer into credits once enrolled in a partner MnSCU school. Currently Career Education offers the following programs: - Computer Technician/IT Support Career Training - Healthcare Technician/Medical Office Support Career Training - Office Support Specialist Career Training - Telecommunications Installation & Support Career Training - HVAC Training - Solar PV (Photovoltaic) Installation Training

Helps people finish their High School Diploma or GED, offers hands-on training in construction or automotive, and assists people in finding jobs or starting college. Students receive one-on-one support in achieving their academic goals as well as leadership and career coaching. Enrolled students can earn money each week for attending classes, plus bonuses for achieving program goals.

Emergency Medical Services Academy - Saint Paul Fire Department

The Saint Paul Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Academy is an intensive, tuition-free emergency medical technician (EMT) certification and firefighter awareness program. Individuals earn an hourly wage during the training, which lasts 240 hours over 10-14 weeks. Once completed, the EMS Academy, graduates earn National EMT certification, and job competency training.
