Internship program

Hired supports individuals, families and youth through comprehensive employment services to learn new skills and achieve their academic and career goals. Programs are available throughout the Twin Cities, but not all programs are offered at every site.- Adult Employment/WIOA Program: The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) serves individuals who are looking to improve their skills and advance their careers- Career Training Program: Provides counseling, training, workshops, and job search assistance. Participants build skills and gain professional qualifications to find employment that is a right fit for them- Family Stability/MFIP - Minnesota Family Investment Program: Assistance for parents who receive MFIP to help them build family-sustaining careers- Youth Services: Provides coaching, support, and training to help youth and young adults complete a diploma or GED, explore careers, and gain employment in a field they are interested

Provides work experience to individuals interested in a career in criminal justice. Positions are available to students seeking to fulfill the requirements of their academic programs as well as professionals with post-secondary education who are interested in obtaining unpaid work experience.

A comprehensive employment and training programs for youth providing assessment, job search/career exploration, employment counseling, job development, job placements, remedial education referrals and support (GED), MFIP services, and case management services.Youth Career Services: Workshops offering how to prepare for college, career decision making and exploration, career readiness training, paid internships, post-secondary support, and improving technology understanding. Summer and school-year programs available.North 4: Provides pathways to success for gang/clique involved adolescents and young adult men residing in four north Minneapolis neighborhoods. Services include leadership, life skills, and work-readiness training, one-on-one job coaching and on-going individual support. Participants are encouraged to participate, plan, and lead community engagement activities/events and retreat-style activities.

Operates youth development training, providing STEM-centered education, job readiness, and life skills training at the intersection of urban agriculture, conservation, and food entrepreneurship for youth ages 14 - 21:Market Garden Program: operates five urban vegetable, herb and flower gardens hosted at various partner locations including government property, a nursing home, a restaurant, and churches. Interns help plant and maintain the gardens, operate a farmer's market stand and sell produce to local restaurants. During the fall and winter, they develop entrepreneurial skills by creating and selling garden-related products and operating a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).Conservation Program: interns work on community-based restoration projects such as building rain gardens, renovating parks, removing invasive species, and maintain 278 acres of green spaces in four parks.Cook Fresh Program: interns develop skills in food preparation and preservation, nutrition literacy, and creative cooking through collaborations with Twin Cities chefs.

Programs offered:- Adult academics such as English Language Learning/ELL, General Educational Development (GED) preparation, adult diploma preparation, and college prep- Adult enrichment classes such as fitness, cooking, arts/crafts, trips, sports, and other special interests- Adventure Club: A child care program for open to the public during the summer and school year- Early learning education programs for children birth - pre-Kindergarten age- Swimming lessons for all ages- Windows of Opportunities: Provides recreational, educational, and support activities for adults age 18 and over with physical, neurological and/or developmental disabilities- Youth enrichment classes which include after school programs, classes in art, crafts, cooking/baking, life skills, music/theater, sports, and STEM-focused activities- Youth leadership and internship opportunities in a variety of areas

Provides programs such as:- Clubs, internships, and leadership development opportunities for youth in grades 6 - 12 to build skills and ambitions- Paid Internships: Offers paid internships to young individuals to earn while they learn. Interns are paid to work as part of a team, often addressing an issue impacting their community. Interns also receive technical skills and workforce readiness training over the course of the 90-day internship program. Focus areas include media, agriculture, fashion, and retail.
