Hired supports individuals, families and youth through comprehensive employment services to learn new skills and achieve their academic and career goals. Programs are available throughout the Twin Cities, but not all programs are offered at every site.

• Adult Employment/WIOA Program: The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) serves individuals who are looking to improve their skills and advance their careers

• Career Training Program: Provides counseling, training, workshops, and job search assistance. Participants build skills and gain professional qualifications to find employment that is a right fit for them

• Family Stability/MFIP - Minnesota Family Investment Program: Assistance for parents who receive MFIP to help them build family-sustaining careers

• Youth Services: Provides coaching, support, and training to help youth and young adults complete a diploma or GED, explore careers, and gain employment in a field they are interested

Helps women and men who have been the primary caretaker at home and lost their primary income, suddenly needed to provide for their family. Helps participants find worthwhile employment and livable wage jobs to support their families. Services include personal assessments, individual counseling, education and training, job search and placement support, networking and support, and other short-term assistance.

Employment Services: job search and placement, job seeking and interview skills, basic education and ESL, job skills training, child care assistance, transportation, employment retention services, and family support services. Program eligibility varies. Employment readiness classes to help participants find and keep living wage jobs Additional job placement services: Information on job seeking skills, access to job listings, job search, job placement, and resume assistance Post-placement follow-up

Drop-in center for homeless youth: ?- Housing Hub: Connects youth experiencing homelessness or at risk of being homeless with a Housing Specialist to provide housing problem solving. Housing Specialists can assist the youth with practical solutions, identify sources, alternatives, and mediate conflict resolution between friends or family. The initial access point to be connected with a Housing Specialist is short-term with a 30-day timeframe. After 30 days initial contact, households with no other pathways identified will be connected to a Housing Assessor and placed on the Housing Registry.

• Provides computers for homework and job searches, a game room, kitchen, lockers, showers, storage areas, and a washer and dryer

• Staff help youth get help with employment and housing searches, connect to resources, and receive basic need items (clean clothes, food, sleeping bags, and toiletries)

Offers services to out-of-school and at risk youth. Provides high school dropout recovery, and attainment of recognized postsecondary credentials. These services include: ?- Career counseling ????- English as a Second Language classes

Workforce preparation, job placement, and job retention services. Works hands-on with clients to assess skills, prepare resumes, guides job-seekers through application forms, and teaches interview techniques. Customized training for job skills.

Employment program prepares low-income adults for skilled jobs. Program includes:

• Employment placement: Participants culminate their training program with a full time, living wage position

• Internship opportunities: Participants gain experience and boost their resumes during internships at local nonprofits and companies

• One-on-one coaching: An individual coach works with each participant during the program, job search, and a year into employment

• Personal empowerment: Courses with an emphasis on developing habits and attitudes of personal stability, responsibility, and professional success

• Work skills training: Courses including basic computer skills, communication, critical thinking, customer service, and more

Services include paid internships, tuition to train for a new career, help finishing school or getting a GED, help with job hunting, and transportation assistance (such as bus fare cards). Participants in Avivo's youth and young adult employment programs can also access short-term credentialed training options for higher-wage jobs, such as:

• Certified Nursing Assistance (CNA)

• Forklift Operator, including Forklift Operators Certification

• Culinary Arts and ServSafe certifications

• Enrollment opportunities in credentialed training at Avivo Institute of Career and Technical Education

• Athletic programs: Individual/teams including basketball, flag football, soccer and baseball
• Open gym and physical activities
• Outdoor and environmental education

• Education/Computer Learning Center includes computer driving stimulation program to practice safe driving, basic instruction, and avoiding risky behaviors while driving

• K - 8 Reading and literacy enrichment program for youth who have been assessed as needing focused reading support, and numeracy enrichment to assist youth in transition from "learning to read" to "reading to learn" skills with a focus on building math proficiencies

• K - 12 Academic enrichment program for youth to promote academic growth Offers 1:1 academic support including tutoring, skills to become self-directed learners, STEM focused activities and Mentoring program

• Teen Pathways College Readiness Program: Individualized support and assistance preparing youth for ACT/SAT exams, college applications, college visits and other assistance as needed to ensure student's progress

• Teen Pathways Employment Readiness Program: Individualized and mentoring support to enhance working and life skills including managing a checking account, creating a budget, saving and investing, career plans and mentoring, vocational exploration, interviewing techniques and additional services as needed to ensure a student's success beyond high school
