Winona ORC Industries is a non-profit agency providing vocational and employment services for adults with disabilities. Services include: - Vocational preparation - Short-term training on job sites in the community and on-going follow-up and training - Jobs skills classes - Liaisons between employer and employee and education of employers about disabilities - Center-based employment in areas of packaging, assembly, machining, and recycling - Community-based employment where clients work in small groups at local businesses under the guidance of a job coach - Supported employment in direct hire positions and follow up services once the client is hired - Stepping into Competitive Employment (IPS) offering job placement and support for persons with serious mental illness

Includes resume building, interview prep, and job search support. - Finding a Job: Offers personalized help with job placement, applications, resume writing, and interview coaching. Also includes training for self-employment or microbusiness development. - Maintaining Employment: Provides job coaching, workplace support, and advocacy to help individuals stay employed and grow in their careers. Assistance with transportation and accommodations is available. - Services for Students/Young Adults (Pre-ETS): Supports high school and transition-age students with career exploration, college prep, work experience, workplace readiness, and self-advocacy training.

Provides supported, community-based employment services, including job placement, coaching, day training, habilitation, individualized planning, and case management. Partners with over 100 local businesses across industries such as food service, manufacturing, and hospitality to offer meaningful work experiences. Additionally, offers a SHAPE Fitness Center where participants have daily access to adaptive equipment, structured programs, and trained professionals to support health and wellness.

- Provides self-sufficiency opportunities in the community, helping people with barriers to employment realize their full potential. Clients learn acceptance of supervision, ability to stay on task, punctuality, interpersonal skills, and adherence to safety rules. - Provides supervised janitorial services for private residences, as well as businesses, government services, and non-profit organizations.

- Once a participant has successfully completed Employee Development Services but is not yet ready for supported or competitive employment, he/she may be hired into work services - Program provides work and fringe benefits while continuing the individualized work goals and skills training for participants - Behavioral goals and productivity are constantly monitored by staff - When the participant meets the criteria necessary for community employment, he/she is assisted with job placement in the community

The Employment Department of Minnesota Diversified Industries (MDI) is available at all locations and works with each individual to find a match to meet employment goals. Services include: - Career Skills Training: Help individuals build personal and professional development for lifelong career skills - Community Placement Services: The Placement Team works with job seekers and referral sources to find the best employment fit for the individual's skills, abilities, and interests - Job Placement: Offers meaningful work, such as assembling plastic containers, putting together kits for medical companies, and operating packaging equipment - On-the-Job Training: Offers a support team to provide daily coaching, training, goal setting, identify skills/abilities, retain job, and more

Program provides the skills and support people with disabilities or barriers to employment need to succeed in the workplace and match them up with the right job. Situational Assessment - a short-term work experience designed to help individuals explore their vocational aptitudes and determine the types of support services that will be needed in the workplace. - Centered-based employment - Paid work at the main facility. Offers various jobs including donation processing, janitorial services, stocking, retail sales, office work, and shipping. Works with individuals in identifying a job within the facility that is well-matched to their skills and interests - Community based employment - Provides paid work in the community to individuals that need ongoing support to maintain their employment. These jobs are often on crews and may include janitorial, lawn-work, and snow removal - Supported employment - Provides employment with local community employers. Workers who are hired for community jobs continue to receive training and support from Goodwill Vocational Services team members, and are paid by the hiring company. Area employers may include Super One Foods, Olive Garden, Bernick's Pepsi, Minnesota Power, Grandma's Restaurant, TJ Maxx, Aerostich, Sain. Lukes, Duluth Grill, and WalMart.

- Life Enrichment and Skills Training Programs: Provides art, music, volunteer opportunities, and community activities - Supported Community Employment: Offers opportunities for participants to work in community businesses with the assistance of a job coach. Also offers services to assist individuals in finding competitive employment on an individual basis. - In-House Employment: Participants have the opportunity to work on subcontract jobs within the agency
