Offers employment services for individuals living with a disability to help them navigate employment options that are a right fit for them. The Employment Department of Minnesota Diversified Industries (MDI) is available at all locations and works with each individual to find a match to meet employment goals. Services include:
- Career Skills Training: Help individuals build personal and professional development for lifelong career skills
- Community Placement Services: The Placement Team works with job seekers and referral sources to find the best employment fit for the individual's skills, abilities, and interests
- Job Placement: Offers meaningful work, such as assembling plastic containers, putting together kits for medical companies, and operating packaging equipment
- On-the-Job Training: Offers a support team to provide daily coaching, training, goal setting, identify skills/abilities, retain job, and more
Offers person-centered, wraparound services for adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, including:
- Employment Services: Finding and maintaining employment with continuous support
- Day Support Services: Building essential life and community skills in a supportive learning environment
- Admissions and transportation: Ensuring accessible, reliable transportation, whether through their services or public options
Provides job training, guidance, and wages for individuals working in job settings preparing them for competitive integrated employment and/or self-employment.
Job training includes:
- Assisting with the day-to-day operations at the facility (laundry, dishes, janitorial, etc.)
- Chore crews (lawn mowing, snow shoveling, raking, processing recycling, etc.)
- Smaller jobs for outside agencies (shredding, packaging, etc.)
There are a variety of work projects to fit each individual's skill set and interests. Employment Support Services (ESS) are also offered, which are designed to help participants maintain community employment.
Chore crew services are available for residents of the community, including:
- Commercial Services – lawn care and snow removal
- Gardening/Weeding
- Lawn Mowing* - includes trimming
- Raking - includes bagging and disposal
- Snow Removal*
*Reduced cost of snow removal and lawn care may be available for older adults

Emphasizes skills necessary for independent living with the greatest emphasis on vocational training and job skills. The majority of clients are involved in supported community employment. Job placements include:

The DAC operates the following:
- Recycling center
- Ink pen and pin back button assembly station
- Retail craft industry
- Non-vocational programs
- Daily hot lunches, meals are prepared according to individual client dietary needs. Program serves meals for clients with chewing problems, choking issues, diabetes, food allergies, and cholesterol concerns.
- Medical monitoring and administration services in tandem with health care providers and client residential facilities
- Transportation to the Regional Fitness Center for work creating and meeting fitness goals, most clients qualify for free memberships to the center
Training in independent living skills and speech therapy are provided when necessary The DAC also provides job training and employment in various sub-contracted jobs
