As paid employees of the Cookie Cart, teens learn the responsibilities and discipline that come with employment. Zuya Wo Ohiya (Journey to Success): Provides employment counseling and support to those American Indian families receiving MFIP assistance through Ramsey County. Services include: - Career counseling - Childcare assistance - Connections for job placement - Education and training assistance - Referrals for services to prepare the individual for job readiness - Step by step workshops to improve skills, demonstrate strengths, advance careers, and achieve goals. Topics may include: Skill development: Trainings in technology, finance, FAFSA applications, and certificate programs. Job exploration: Writing resumes and cover letters, practicing interview skills, and job searching. Career advancement: Using networking and personal branding. YouthLead: Provides American Indian youth ages 14 - 24 with skills needed for employment including career exploration, resume writing, job search skills, and interviewing.

A comprehensive employment and training programs for youth providing assessment, job search/career exploration, employment counseling, job development, job placements, remedial education referrals and support (GED), MFIP services, and case management services. Youth Career Services: Workshops offering how to prepare for college, career decision making and exploration, career readiness training, paid internships, post-secondary support, and improving technology understanding. Summer and school-year programs available. North 4: Provides pathways to success for gang/clique involved adolescents and young adult men residing in four north Minneapolis neighborhoods. Services include leadership, life skills, and work-readiness training, one-on-one job coaching and on-going individual support. Participants are encouraged to participate, plan, and lead community engagement activities/events and retreat-style activities.
