Provides volunteer opportunities for adults 55 years plus who would like to help others remain independent in their own homes. Clients receive: - Companionship and visiting to the isolated elderly clients - Assistance in personal needs such as shopping, medical appointments, letter writing, socialization - Respite care for caregivers. Senior Companions serve 15 - 20 hours a week and receive a tax free stipend plus transportation allowance.
