  • Animal Services: Offers a lifetime license for all dogs and cats within the city. Also provides the following: Responding to Barking dog and stray animal complaints, impoundments, and ordinance enforcement
  • Building/Zoning: Permits are required for many projects, such as: building/moving in a storage shed; building/replacing a deck; putting up a fence, etc. Permits are not required for shingling a roof, siding, or replacing a window if the work does not change the housing structure.
  • Garbage and Recycling: Contracts with Southwest Sanitation for solid waste collection. Garbage is picked up on Thursday mornings. Recycling is picked up by Redwood County Recycling every other Wednesday morning.
  • Parks and Recreation: The City Park is centrally located within the city along Highway 68/Euclid Avenue. The City Park offers a variety of recreational activities and modern playground equipment. The park shelter is available to rent.
