The program supports early childhood educators including family child care providers, child care centers, and preschools to improve the quality of care they provide. Programs include: - Child Care Wayfinder, a one-stop navigation network for starting and growing child care programs. Navigators offer personalized support and resources. - Parent Aware recruitment to enroll childhood educators. Once enrolled, childhood educators are provided with parent-aware coaching, quality rating, and support. - Professional development and workforce advising for individuals interested in early childhood knowledge and/or attaining a college degree in the field - Professional training for childhood educators to meet licensing requirements - Regional grants available to licensed child care programs each year starting September 1 through 25th - Start-up grants on an ongoing basis depending on funding

Programs include: - Connecting to a childcare liaison to assist families with the process of securing child care that meets the family's needs, including county and enrollment forms - Resources, support, and training to family friends, and neighbors who are unlicensed caregivers to improve the quality of care provided to children - Car seat education, distribution, and installation for families with qualifying insurance. Car seat education classes are also provided in Somali and can be translated into other languages as needed. - Shared Services Alliances: Designed to work in partnership with Early Child Care programs to offer the services needed to improve long-term financial strength and manage capacity, along with the abilitiy to provide care and services.

Licenses in-home child care homes, offers training, and monitors child care homes to support the health and safety of children. Potential child care license applicants must attend an initial orientation meeting to learn if this may be the right business for them. - License application materials will be provided at the initial orientation meeting. - Interpreters can be arranged for the orientation session. - Individuals arriving 15 minutes beyond the start time of the session may not be allowed to attend. - If school is canceled due to weather concerns, the meeting will also be canceled; cancelations for other reasons will be posted online - Children are not allowed to attend orientation sessions.
