Offers local support groups for caregivers and individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias throughout Minnesota and North Dakota. Works to bring care and support to every community so that no one has to face dementia alone. Support groups create a safe, confidential, and supportive environment. Provides an opportunity for participants to develop mutual support and social relationships. Trained facilitators lead support groups via phone, video, or in person. Also offers Caregiver Support Groups for caregivers of all types of dementia, as well as specific groups tailored to specific populations. Person with Dementia Support Groups are geared towards individuals who have recently been diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment or dementia and are in the early stage of the disease progression.

After the meal, parents have time to talk and share with one another, while the patient and their siblings get to spend time together. Resources for education, information, support, and advocacy may include the following: - Adult peer groups throughout the state - Age-appropriate education programs for youth about epilepsy, seizure first aid, and prevention - Camp Oz: A week-long, residential camp for youth 9 - 17 who have epilepsy. Held the third week in June each summer. - Creative Arts encourages people with epilepsy to submit artwork and writings - Epilepsy first aid and awareness training for professionals and for the public including seizure recognition - Family events - Shining Stars: Kids with epilepsy are recognized with certificates and a medallion, special events and a chance to meet other Shining Stars. Offers free and confidential testing for HIV. Individuals are invited to pick a time and place to be tested. Results are usually available in 20 minutes and staff will provide pre- and post-counseling in English and some African languages. Confidential support group for Africans living with HIV and AIDS. Persons of all faiths are welcome. The meetings are culturally and linguistically appropriate. Meetings include a fellowship and spiritual period, a shared meal, and an emotional support and health wellness section.
