  • NAMI Connection: NAMI Connection is a support group for adults living with mental illness. Groups are free and meet for 90 minutes. All groups are led by trained facilitators who also live with mental illness. Groups provide a welcoming, safe, judgment-free space to share challenges, successes, and learn from one another.   • NAMI Open Door Anxiety and Panic Support Groups: NAMI Minnesota's Open Door support groups provide ongoing support for individuals with an anxiety or panic disorder. Groups are free and meet for 90 minutes. Groups are a place to find support, learn new skills and strategies, and better understand and manage anxiety in daily life. The Open Door program is based on the book Embracing the Fear: Learning to Manage Anxiety and Panic Attacks by Judith Bemis and Amr Barrada.   • Coping With Deployments Course: Spouses, parents, siblings and significant others learn skill-building techniques that help them respond to the challenges of the deployment cycle

Emergency Communications?
  • The American Red Cross independently verifies an emergency, enabling the service member's commander to make an educated decision regarding emergency leave and then provides transportation assistance and/or financial assistance if needed
Financial Assistance?
  • The American Red Cross works in partnership with Military Aid Societies to provide financial assistance which includes funds for emergency travel, burial of a loved one, emergency food and shelter, etc. Aid Societies determine the financial assistance package that will be offered - a grant or loan. The Red Cross is the mechanism to expedite access to these financial resources.
Information and Referral Services?
  • Offers confidential services to all members of the military, veterans and their families by connecting them with local, state and national resources through the network of American Red Cross chapters. Local chapters develop and maintain relationships with community partners. Military families rely on the local chapter to help them identify their needs and connect them to the most appropriate chapter and community resources. These services range from responding to emergency needs for food, clothing and shelter; referrals to counseling services (e.g. financial, legal, mental health, etc.); respite care for caregivers; and other resources.

Choosing Healthy Sexual Boundaries Support Group: For men who are committed to gaining and maintaining healthy sexual behavior. Inappropriate sexual behavior can carry social, legal, and even criminal consequences. Provides a confidential, non-confrontational, and non-judgmental place to talk with other men about healthy sexual boundaries.

Gay Issues Support Group: Men express feelings about life's challenges and experiences, and what it means to be gay and male (you don't have to be gay to attend).- The Gay Issues Support Group is a place where men can discuss issues of sexuality, coming out, relationships, and cultural attitudes in an open, affirming, and supportive environment. Members of this group support each other to build a positive sense of self and community, find friendships that affirm and help understand, accept, and cope with family, workplace, and relationship issues.

General Men's Issues/Relationship Issues Support Group: For men to express feelings about the process of life's challenges and experiences, and what it means to be a man in our culture. Many men also share feelings, thoughts, and opinions about general issues that interfere with healthy living, personal crises, loss of meaning, and men's health and wellness. Men express feelings about separation, divorce, breaking up with a lover, and topics such as child custody/legal hassles, parental problems, financial woes, etc., and find men in the group who have been through similar life challenges and are always ready to listen and provide emotional support.

ManKind Project Open Circle: Serves as a place where men can develop their emotional intelligence, practice accountability to their commitments of service to others, and practice authenticity in Actions and declarations. It was formed to make a place for men who are not affiliated with any of the existing groups to have a place to meet on a drop-in or visitor basis. Enables participants to witness other men practice clarity of self-expression from their hearts rather than their heads.

Provides resources for older adults living alone as well as caregivers needing support. Services are designed to help maintain independence as long as feasible. Home-based services are provided according to the availability of volunteers and staff:
  • Homemaking: Indoor light housekeeping services include mild laundry services, floor care, kitchen/bathroom cleaning, and other indoor help. Light "fix it" services (i.e., changing light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, etc.), meal preparation, menu planning, picking up groceries and medications, help with organizing bills, etc.
