Ambassador: Greeting visitors at History Center events; representing the History Center at county fair and other events; ticket takers Archives and Library: Inventory; patron assistance; record gathering and computer entry; scanning and digitizing Collections: Artifact rehousing and cleaning; inventorying and cataloging Concessions: Handling money and food at Roosters baseball home games Exhibits: Construction and fabrication; proofreading; research Indoor Work: Assistance with mailings; data entry; front desk assistant; gallery and archive light cleaning; gift shop assistant Outdoor Work: Lawn mowing; seasonal clean up; snow plowing; tilling Storytelling: Mayowood docent and tour assistant; museum gallery docent; Stoppel Farm docent; trolley tour docent

Volunteer opportunities including:- Administrative/communication: Board of Directors, communications, data entry, event planning, and graphic design- Client work: Advocacy assistant, childcare volunteer, language interpretation, and support group facilitator- Community outreach/Public speaking- Maintenance/cleaning/organizing: Cleaning projects, donation assistant, handi-person, landscaping, and meal preparation, serving and cleaning

CHUM welcomes volunteers to help with:- Event planning and support (various events year-round)- Food shelves (drivers; unloading, sorting, and stocking shelves)- Gardening (various locations)- Moving (furniture donation pickup)- Office Support (data entry and mailing)- Property and equipment (cleaning, painting, etc.)- Second Saturdays - monthly opportunities (ongoing or one-time) to volunteer with others; projects vary- Serving meals at various sites
