The AmeriCorpsSeniors-Arrowhead RSVP engages older adults ages 55 and older in volunteer services to meet community needs and to provide an experience that enriches their lives. Northland Volunteer Center promotes volunteering by assisting people of all ages, including families, to find volunteer opportunities in their communities. It also provides education and information, networking meetings, and sponsors volunteer events like the annual Volunteer Fair, Purple Ribbon Recognition, and Hall of Fame Volunteer Awards. Volunteers serve Cook, Lake and Saint Louis counties, including the City of Duluth, through nonprofit organizations and health care facilities including schools, libraries, hospitals, tourist attractions, nursing homes, animal shelters, food shelves, and a variety of other community programs. Volunteer opportunities involve helping children to read, delivering Meals on Wheels, preserving the natural environment, providing tourist information, friendly visiting and more. Each volunteer is asked to give 48 or more service hours during the year.

Provides a dietary meal to homebound individuals or older adults over the age of 60. One hot and up to four frozen meals are available each week. Dedicated volunteers from area churches, businesses, and service groups deliver the meals. Volunteer opportunities are available for those interested in delivering a meal.
- Home delivered meals for individuals who are unable to prepare meals or are homebound, and elderly or persons with physical disabilities - Meals are delivered by volunteers and arrive between 11:30 am - 12:30 pm Monday - Friday - Weekly, monthly, and on-call volunteer opportunities available to prepare meals or deliver them

- Bring donations to donation door D, located on the southeast side of the building, closest to Tenvoorde Ford. Do not leave donations outside the doors. Donations must be collected and weighed by Catholic Charities staff to ensure food safety standards and inventory tracking. - Receipts are available. - Accepts the following new or gently used items for donations for Basic Everyday Essentials: - Accessories: scarves, hats, mittens, backpacks, small luggage - Baby items: clothing, blankets, crib sheets, bottles, bibs, baby food, and formula - Kitchen items: pots, pans, utensils, dishes, glassware, silverware, and cookware - Men, women, and children's clothing; greatest need for adults who are tall and larger sizes - Shoes - Small kitchen appliances: toasters, blenders, mixers, coffee makers - Towels, washcloths, sheets, blankets, bed pillows - Accepts the following items for donations for the Food Shelf: - Feminine hygiene products - Fresh produce (including home-grown) - Laundry detergent - Non-perishable food items - Personal care items: deodorant, shaving lotion and razors, shampoo/conditioner, soap, and toothpaste Volunteer positions: - Emergency Services Food Shelf - Emergency Services Basic Everyday Essentials - Individual, group, and student opportunities and court-ordered community service - Senior dining/Meals on Wheels: deliver meals, prepare food, set up dining sites for meals, serve meals, clean up after meals and clerical tasks - Student interns

Hot meals are delivered Monday through Friday in the City of Aitkin. Frozen meals are delivered in Aitkin County every other week. This service allows seniors in rural locations access to health prepared meals.
