School Supply Online Collection - United Way of Southeast Minnesota - Rochester
Collaborative effort that provides new back-to-school supplies to Olmsted County families with children in grades preK-12:
- Backpacks and supplies are distributed to students through participating school districts
- Donations are accepted online in early July when the supply drive opens
- Organizations, groups, or businesses may participate by holding their own drive online
- Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals or groups

- Property and equipment (cleaning, painting, etc.)
- Second Saturdays - monthly opportunities (ongoing or one-time) to volunteer with others; projects vary

Donation and Volunteer Opportunities - Catholic Charities - Central Minnesota
- Bring donations to donation door D, located on the southeast side of the building, closest to Tenvoorde Ford. Do not leave donations outside the doors. Donations must be collected and weighed by Catholic Charities staff to ensure food safety standards and inventory tracking.
- Receipts are available.
- Accepts the following new or gently used items for donations for Basic Everyday Essentials:
- Accessories: scarves, hats, mittens, backpacks, small luggage
- Baby items: clothing, blankets, crib sheets, bottles, bibs, baby food, and formula
- Kitchen items: pots, pans, utensils, dishes, glassware, silverware, and cookware
- Men, women, and children's clothing; greatest need for adults who are tall and larger sizes
- Shoes
- Small kitchen appliances: toasters, blenders, mixers, coffee makers
- Towels, washcloths, sheets, blankets, bed pillows
- Accepts the following items for donations for the Food Shelf:
- Feminine hygiene products
- Fresh produce (including home-grown)
- Laundry detergent
- Non-perishable food items
- Personal care items: deodorant, shaving lotion and razors, shampoo/conditioner, soap, and toothpaste
Volunteer positions:
- Emergency Services Food Shelf
- Emergency Services Basic Everyday Essentials
- Individual, group, and student opportunities and court-ordered community service
- Senior dining/Meals on Wheels: deliver meals, prepare food, set up dining sites for meals, serve meals, clean up after meals and clerical tasks
- Student interns

Offers information and tips on the website about helping someone who is experiencing abuse, electronic device safety, effects on domestic violence on children, dating and teen violence, and family and friends of victims of domestic violence.
Southern Valley Alliance offers awareness training presentations and builds relationships with community partners about domestic violence, education to youth, inform neighbors, and other community groups.
Volunteer opportunities are available to anyone interested. A variety of volunteer opportunities for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Positions include Crisis Line Advocate, Community Outreach, Court Advocate, Support Group Facilitator, Office Support, Pop-Up Volunteer, Set Up and Tear Down, Child Care Provider, and more.
