Licensed mental health professionals complete diagnostic assessments working to understand questions, concerns and worries as well as each child's strengths, challenges, and history. Washburn provides counseling, therapy and support for families available at all of their sites. This includes help with with common concerns such as: - Abuse and parent-child conflicts - Attention problems and acting-out behaviors - Depression and anxiety - Difficulty dealing with loss or family changes - School adjustment problems Quick Access Program: Provided in partnership with Medica. Supports children experiencing mild mental health challenges or situational life stressors. Provides a brief mental health assessment and access to clinical care for kids ages 5 - 17 who can benefit from short-term therapy intervention (up to 6 sessions). Aims to reduce the amount of wait time it takes for children and families to receive help with mild mental health challenges or situational life stressors. Available to families enrolled with Medica insurance. Services are not for children or families who have long-standing mental health concerns, a history of past mental health treatment and multiple diagnosis, or safety concerns.

- Early Childhood Therapy: services are provided to children and their caregiver(s). - Individual Therapy: Therapists support younger children through Non-Directive Play Therapy utilizing toys, games, artwork, reading, and talking to support children in expressing feelings and experiences. For older children, therapists will work with the child to decide what is the most helpful form of intervention to meet individual needs and goals. - Youth Group Therapy: Helps children break the secret of domestic violence, understand that the abuse and violence is not their fault, strengthen self-esteem and have fun. Held twice a year in the Spring and Fall. Groups meet once a week for twelve weeks on Tuesday evenings.

- Group and individual therapy: Are provided for domestic abuse issues. Groups for abusive men and abused women, and play therapy for children who have been abused or have witnessed the abuse. Also offers anger management groups for women. Anger management groups and therapy groups for children and adolescents are available. Parenting groups for parents of children exposed to domestic violence are also available. After completion of the domestic abuse program, restorative parenting groups are offered to men and women to address the needs of children affected by domestic violence. After completion of the domestic abuse program, family therapy and couples therapy may be available for those who wish to work on their relationships. - Sexual Assault Program: Group therapy and individual therapy available to women who have been sexually assaulted or sexually abused at any time in their lives - Restorative Parenting Program: 12-week group therapy program for women whose children have been exposed to domestic violence, and a 10-week group therapy program is available for fathers who have exposed their children to violence in the home. Family therapy is available and recommended in conjunction with the group therapy program. Group therapy for children and adolescents exposed to violence is also available if there are sufficient numbers of age appropriate youth.
