Provides free and confidential services to those affected by domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking/exploitation, and high-risk youth in Lincoln, Lyon, Redwood, and Yellow Medicine counties.Confidential services: - Accompaniment to court - Assistance with petitioning for an Order for Protection or Harassment Restraining Order - Community education - Crisis line - Emergency transportation, and/or assistance - Information, referrals, and resources - Temporary emergency safe housing - Systems coordination - Support group - Youth Programs: Provides youth the ability to teach and learn from their peers about confidence, communication, safety, and life skills. Emergency assistance includes, but is not limited to, the following expenses: - Crime Scene cleanup - Grant funds are used to meet crime victims' emergency needs when available - Purchase and installation of necessary home security devices - Reimbursement of towing and storage fees incurred due to impoundment of a recovered stolen vehicle - Replacement of necessary property that was lost, damaged or stolen as a result of a crime - Transportation to locations related to the victim's needs as a victim, such as medical and criminal justice facilities - Victim reimbursement for reasonable travel and living expenses incurred due to a change in venue Victims of crime have also received funding through the program for items such as repairing a broken door, installing new locks, and replacing clothing or bedding taken as evidence. Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program - FHPAP may be available through pre-screening.

Provides advocacy services for victims of domestic violence, human/labor trafficking, and sexual assault, or victims of a general crime such as elder abuse, identity theft, robbery, stalking, or theft. Services provided include:- Assistance at the hospital or law enforcement center- Crisis response and intervention- Legal advocacy and/or criminal justice system intervention, such as assistance with filing protective orders- Occasional transportation services- Safety planning and short-term emergency placement services- Specialized information and referral for locating resources and obtaining vouchers for household items- Support groups for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault

A secure, 24-bed emergency domestic violence shelter for women and their children under age 18. Assistance includes: 24 hour domestic violence crisis hotline Advocacy Assistance with protection and restraining orders Basic needs Housing resources Outreach services for anyone (residents and non-residents of the shelter) needing assistance with personal or legal issues related to domestic violence Parenting support provided to shelter residents Referrals Resources Safety planning Support groups for anyone affected by domestic violence and/or sexual violence Support through court proceedings

Advocates dedicated to ending domestic violence by helping individuals in crisis, providing community education and working for changes in how society views and handles violence. Advocates provide: - Assistance with the legal system - Assistance with Orders For Protection (Temporary Restraining Orders - TRO) - Assistance with law enforcement - Emergency and transitional housing - Emergency transportation (With police involved only) - Individual advocacy - Accompaniment to court proceedings - Information and referral - Public education - Internships and volunteer opportunities - Men's domestic violence groups - Women's information and educations - Supervised visitation program- Behavior education - Parenting Classes available- Elder abuse advocacy - Advocates provided for parents or significant others affected by the abuse on request - Safe housing is available IF there is a domestic situation and safety is an issue

Provides a confidential and culturally sensitive support specifically for Somali and Afghan victims of sexual and domestic violence. ?Offers community gatherings tailored to raise awareness, offer education, and extend support to survivors of sexual violence. Participation in these events offers individuals the opportunity to:- Attend informative workshops and training sessions led by industry experts- Connect with fellow survivors and establish a supportive network- Engage in empowering discussions and interactive activities- Familiarize individuals with available community resources and services- Gain valuable insights from inspiring speakers and survivor narratives

Provides 24 hours/7 days a week of information and help for young people who may be in an abusive dating relationship. Peer advocates also offer information and support to concerned friends and family members, teachers, counselors, service providers, and members of law enforcement.Offers information such as fundamentals of dating, healthy relationships, personal safety, supporting others, and seeking help.
