Chemical Health Services - Lakeland Mental Health Center
Provides a full spectrum of outpatient services for adolescents and adults with substance use disorders or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Services include:
- Case management
- Comprehensive assessments (including court-ordered/DWI/DUI assessments)
- Co-occurring disorder treatment programs
- Individual and family counseling
- Mental health counseling integrated with substance use treatment
- Outpatient group therapy
- Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
- Referral to inpatient or residential treatment when appropriate
Note: An initial assessment will be scheduled with a chemical health counselor to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.

Substance Use Program - Kandiyohi County Public Health and Human Services
Direct Access allows an individual to go directly to a provider they choose to receive a comprehensive assessment and access care immediately. County services include:
- Providing assessments for individuals who have been court ordered to complete an assessment
- Providing assessments for individuals who are seeking treatment for chemical abuse or dependency, on a voluntary basis,. Must meet certain income guidelines or receive Medical Assistance (MA).
- Assisting with referral to a treatment provider and prior authorization for treatment services
