Drug Screening Services - Ross Resources, LTD
Ross Resources offers comprehensive drug testing and screening. All tests are observed and all staff are trained and certified in drug testing. The following tests are available through our agency:
- Hair Follicle Testing: Hair testing is the best method for screening out drug use. Hair testing is a process in which hair specimens are analyzed for illegal drug use. Hair testing offers the longest window of detection, (90 days standard test), and cannot be adulterated or substituted. Any samples that screen positive are confirmed using GC/MS, (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry) technology. Hair testing is valid and admissible in court cases.
- Single Panel THC Dip Testing Card: The single THC Marijuana dip test card provides for an observed urine sample and results within 5 minutes of collection.
- Five Panel Dip Testing Card: Provides very quick and easy verification of drug use. The five panel tests for cocaine, marijuana, opiates, amphetamines and methamphetamines. The test is accurate for use for the past 72 hours, or 3 days. As in the single panel test, the donor provides an observed urine sample and results are available within 5 minutes of collection.
- EtG Alcohol Testing: EtG (Ethyl Glucuronide), is a direct metabolite of ethyl alcohol and is a marker for recent alcohol exposure. EtG may be detected as soon as 2 hours after exposure and may be detected for up to 80 hours past consumption. EtG tests whether ethanol has been used; it is not for current impairment. EtG is most useful in testing individuals who should not be drinking at all. **It should be noted that all tests can be sent in for further confirmation of levels. Ross Resources will be available to testify in court regarding any positvie tests. Please contact Ross Resources for services/pricing.

Juvenile Services - Nicollet County Community Corrections
Community Work Service Program:
Juveniles are assigned to do community work service, either through juvenile court or the diversion process, to work on projects throughout the county under the supervision of an adult supervisor. These work sites have been recruited and are continually montored by the Juvenile STS Crew Leader. Community service work sites offer a varied degree of work experiences that allow the juveniles to provide a service to their community.
Drug testing
Electronic Surveillance Program:
Utilizes electronic surveillance equipment for juveniles as an alternative to detention. Probation Officers make recommendations to the District Court regarding the appropriateness of releasing a juvenile on electronic monitoring to his/her parent or guardian's custody pending further hearings or disposition. Nicollet County Probation also uses electronic monitoring as a condition/sanction of a juvenile's probation. This option is used for juvenile offenders, both as an alternative for detention, as well as short term consequential programming.
First Time Offenders Programs:
Provides a number of opportunities for first time juvenile offenders. Many of these are educational groups, which are run within the department, as well as several where referrals are made to other agencies. Popular options outside the department include; the ARCHER Program (At Risk Chemical Health Education and Resilience) and the PERT Program (Program for Encouragement of Responsible Thinking).
Juvenile Diversion Program:
Offered for first time minor offenders. These juveniles are diverted from the juvenile court upon agreement of the County Attorney's Office and the Probation Department. The Probation Department meets with these juveniles and their parent(s) and provides programming that will deter further delinquent activity.
Project Nighthawk:?Joins probation officers and law enforcement in partnership to ensure compliance of court orders through random home visits to hold clients accountable to probation conditions, such as drug and alcohol testing. Randomly schedules visits on a weekly basis.
