Support and Educational Services - Japan America Society of Minnesota

- Nihonjinkai: is a volunteer group that supports Japanese individuals and families who live in Minnesota and make connections with people who love Japanese culture. Main activities include delivering Obento to elders who request it, visiting elder Japanese in nursing homes, publishing the "Minnesota Nihonjinkai Dayori" newsletter, and more. Monthly group meetings include a potluck and a craft party. - Japanese Speaking Club: offers informal Japanese conversation for native and non-native speakers. - Mondale Scholarship: offers annual financial grants to Minnesota undergraduate students accepted to academic programs in Japan. - J-Quiz: provides an academic competition for high school students enrolled in Japanese language classes. - Minnesota Bon Odori: dance and musical program that teaches traditional Japanese festival dance to schools and organizations. - Corporate Roundtable: business meeting series that presents discussions on key topics of interest to people involved in business between Japan and Minnesota.

Community Cultural Center and Events - Depot, The

Provides space and connections for distinctive educational and cultural activity. Depot has six organizations under one roof: - Depot Foundation - Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra - Lake Superior Railroad Museum - Minnesota Ballet - North Shore Scenic Railroad - Saint Louis County Historical Society Rental space is available but limited for small-to-medium sized gatherings

Cultural Activities - Cultural Society of Filipino Americans

- Camps for children and families - Charitable giving to disadvantaged Filipinos in Minnesota and the Philippines, to Minnesota food shelves, and other organizations; volunteer work at Dorothy Day - Christmas carolling at nursing homes and Filipino homes - Cultural entertainment by adult and/or children members, including Philippine folk dancers - Educational programs; teach the Filipino language for children and adults - Moral/emotional support to Filipinos new to Minnesota or in need of activities, including: Monthly meetings, folk dance/song practices, Festival of Nations, Philippine Day organizations, annual family campouts, Philippine Independence Day picnic, children's Christmas party, Asian American Festival - Philippine Scholar: Program to raise funds for financial assistance for students in the Philippines - Speakers bureau on Philippine issues

Public Programs - Minnesota Landmarks

Serves as a cultural center for music, dance, theater, exhibitions, public forums, and hosts special events. Public programming designed to educate and entertain. Includes topics such as civic engagement, United States history, Minnesota history, concerts, dance performances, and more. Many events are kid friendly. Visit the website for event dates and times.
