Serves as a cultural center for music, dance, theater, exhibitions, public forums, and hosts special events. Public programming designed to educate and entertain. Includes topics such as civic engagement, United States history, Minnesota history, concerts, dance performances, and more. Many events are kid friendly. Visit website for event dates and times. - Nihonjinkai: is a volunteer group that supports Japanese individuals and families who live in Minnesota and make connections with people who love Japanese culture. Main activities include delivering Obento to elders who request it, visiting elder Japanese in nursing homes, publishing the "Minnesota Nihonjinkai Dayori" newsletter, and more. Monthly group meetings include a potluck and a craft party. - Japanese Speaking Club: offers informal Japanese conversation for native and non-native speakers. - Mondale Scholarship: offers annual financial grants to Minnesota undergraduate students accepted to academic programs in Japan. - J-Quiz: provides an academic competition for high school students enrolled in Japanese language classes. - Minnesota Bon Odori: dance and musical program that teaches traditional Japanese festival dance to schools and organizations. - Corporate Roundtable: business meeting series that presents discussions on key topics of interest to people involved in business between Japan and Minnesota.
