A series of life readiness workshops for youth transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. The workshop series equips youth with the tools that they need to succeed in the adult world. This program is not an alternative to a general education, but rather covers many topics that are not often covered in the traditional classroom. Program includes:

• Career Pathways: Knowing their goals, and how to get there

• Empowerment: Personal development, and Health and Wellness

• Entrepreneurial Development: Owning their own full/part-time business

• Leadership Skills: Interpersonal communication and community involvement

• Wealth Building: Banking, investing, and credit building

• Work Readiness: Applying for jobs and resume writing

This program, in partnership with YES Duluth, also offers industry-specific paid internships and job placement, as well as wraparound educational, mental health, housing, and financial assistance programs through Life House Duluth. Youth will also work one-on-one with professionally trained mentors who will assess strengths, skills, and interests, as well as identify, and address barriers to achieving goals. After completing the ABCs, youth who are interested in owning their own business will be eligible to enroll in Freedom Youth Start-Ups (FYSU). This entrepreneurial development program assists youth with drafting business plans, providing access to micro-loans, and industry specific technical assistance. This is a 6 week (3 hours a week) course includes transportation, food, technology and childcare (for young parents).

Provides education, support and community referrals to individuals related to starting a business, understanding and cleaning up credit reports, and learning how to save money.

Works with entrepreneurs to provide connections, framework and education to help them overcome challenges.

• Collider Coworking: Offers collaborative space and conference rooms for members and guests. Guests can drop in for a day or week to use desk space, and rent small and large conference rooms. Members can have monthly access to use office space, desk space and access quiet rooms and conference rooms. Fiber internet access, drinks and snacks provided.

• Ecosystem Navigator Program: Lowers barriers to entrepreneurship in Rochester. Provides entrepreneurs and prospective business owners with networks and frameworks to improve their chances of business success. Initial focus is the Latino, Black and female entrepreneurial communities in Rochester. 3 navigators meet 1:1 with entrepreneurs and people interested in learning more about starting a business in Rochester. Navigators work to understand the needs of these individuals and connect them to business resources.

• Education: Provides an 8-week Basics of Entrepreneurship course which helps an entrepreneur start with an idea, validate it and find their first customers. Works regionally with universities and colleges as well as other entrepreneurial support organizations to connect individuals to educational opportunities.

Provides information, resources, and tools to help small business owners and entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. Services include: ?- Free business counseling to owners or prospective owners of small businesses. NOTE: Provides a counseling service only. SCORE members are not employees of clients. ?- Mentorship program with other business entrepeneurs

• On-site field visits if requested for counseling

• Workshops on basic information needed to start a new business. Other workshops include creating a marketing plan, business plan, or getting financing.
