Advances affordable housing policies at the local, regional and state levels by mobilizing community support for affordable housing development proposals and by preserving homes at risk of demolition. Offers educational events to train and inform its constituency and to increase its visibility in the community.
- Advocates for change within the tenant screening industry and in public policies that negatively impact tenants in the area of tenant screening - Advocacy for tenants of substandard housing, facilitate contact with city inspections departments; negotiate with landlord to get repairs made - Educate tenants about legal advice, utility assistance, housing court assistance, protection and remedies; community leadership training - Explore communal resolution of the issues found at the intersection of housing, race, and class - Healthy Homes project provides tools to help residents empower themselves to create healthier choices, livelihood and also provides opportunities for individuals to become proactive on their issues and policies that are impacting their health and community.
